Our dishwasher broke about 2-3 weeks ago. Apparently, a vital part failed and needed to be replaced. I'm not exactly sure what the whole story was because Tom communicated with the complex about the issue. Me? I'm fine living without a dishwasher. I've done it for years and know how to wash dishes by hand let them dry on a rack - the normal way. Tom, on the other hand, can't comprehend life without a dishwasher. It's is his stubborn modernist side that makes him this way.
Anyway, the part was supposed to be replaced today. This made Tom happy, which made me happy because there would soon be an end to Tom's dishwashing unhappiness. I don't know what happened with the new part, but we arrived home this evening to a brand new dishwasher!! And it's our last month in our current apartment. I can live without a dishwasher, but I have to say, the new one is very nice! And quiet!
Go figure!
